This is just a quick briefing and little FAQ, and so forth.
Q: Why is Digital Plains here?
A: We realize there a variety of Digimon RPG forums already. But we’ve also noticed that many are either:
1. Closed.
2. ‘Temporarily’ Down.
3. ‘The Creative Writing Style.’*
4. Have only one board for RPG.
5. Have TOO many boards for RPG.**
*The Creative style is as though you are writing a book. Each character adds to a scene. You can actually write other characters into your scenes.
**Yes, it IS possible to have too many boards. Its rare to have many that are good, most of the time and more commonly, its bad to have many. Like say theres a ‘Takato’s Bakery Shop’ or ‘Digital Fishing Lake’. Now lets be honest with ourselves. What are the chances of making a good Turnbased* RP in a forum that is restricted to being in/at a bakery or fishing lake? Very slim.
*Turnbased is literally taking turns posting with different characters. This allows much more interaction with other characters and typists.
Q: Why do are there only so few rpg sections to post in?
A: Good question. Like I said above, the chances of making a good rp in a section called ‘The Digital Lake’ or ‘Guilmon’s Cave’ is highly unlikely. What are the main places you can actually role play at, without the restrictions of area (ie. Not having to stay at a bakery through the whole rp)? The Real World and The Digital World.
Q: What is the Forum Official Story?
A: Another good question. The FOS (Forum Official Story) is, well, a story made for the forum. It involves a few new digimon, and a wild nexus between each season. It also introduces the Guardian Lord Digimon, whom which watch over each digital realm in each universe. I believe it’ll be a fun thing to RP, since it connects each season and universe together. The FOS will be posted in chapters. Chances are there will be a new one each month, possibly even longer, considering its General who’s writing in and he never has time to be on the computer because life has a way for f**king him over.

A: Didn’t I explain this above? Oh well, I’ll explain it again. Here, I’ll quote straight from the RPG RULES, which includes this information.
The Creative style is as though you are writing a book. Each Char adds to a scene. You can actually write other characters into your scenes. The big drawback to this is well.... if you like playing your own char and don't like others playing your char, you're in trouble.
This is considered "moding" on turnbased sites.
